What are Wrinkles?
They are a natural part of aging and mainly appear on sun-exposed skin such as the face, neck, hands and forearms. Usually when we age, our skin’s sebum, sweat production and epithelial cells decrease and the trans-epidermal water loss increases leading to dehydrated skin and a decrease in its elasticity hence wrinkles formation. Although genetics mainly determine skin structure and texture, there are other factors that contribute to fine lines and wrinkles and prevention treatment should be started from 25 years old.
